On June 25, 2018 local time, French officials announced that the protocol on health and quarantine requirements for French beef exported to China had been officially signed in Beijing on the same day.

As early as a few months ago, on the occasion of the visit of French Prime Minister Philippe to China, France reached a health and safety agreement with China on the same day, and France's beef export to China went further. According to the report, the technical agreement on hygiene and inspection requirements signed by French Prime Minister Edward Philippe's visit means that French beef will be exported to China once the meat company applying for the license obtains the license.

During the period, witnessed by the prime ministers of the two countries, the two sides signed more than 10 bilateral cooperation documents in the fields of energy, science and technology, agricultural food, medicine and health.

From January 8 to 10, 2018, French President Emmanuel macron paid a state visit to China, during which China promised to promote the process of French beef export to China and realize beef export to China as soon as possible in the next six months.

The protocol of beef export to China is one of them. The admission categories are frozen beef and chilled beef under 30 months old.

In response to the signing of the protocol, France's Ministry of Agriculture said that the real export of French beef to China is only the last step. From April 30 to May 9 this year, China has sent a quality inspection team to inspect the French beef factory that has applied.
